I have always been fascinated with the ethereal: the dream state and the effect clothing can have on the way people act, live, and carry themselves. My passion stems from a love for the arts as a whole that has been with me since childhood. This strength and innate style drove me straight into the fashion industry, where I sought to prove my determination and ability.
At 16, I had the opportunity of being the youngest intern at Diane von Furstenberg and then added to my resume at 18 through a valuable apprenticeship in design with Ralph Lauren. These experiences only heightened my desire to enter the industry and thus inspired my next move-elevating my career further at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) where I studied Fashion Design from 2014 through 2018. During my junior year, I developed a more commercial side of fashion during an internship in Women’s Layering at Abercrombie and Fitch. I was honored during my experience at SCAD to be chosen for a mentorship with Brock Collection and to be selected to show my senior collection at SCAD’s annual fashion show. These years at SCAD culminated with the attainment of a BFA in Fashion Design.
I have always been fascinated with the intersection of dream and reality-where an individual wants to be versus where they are now. The garments I design tell this story; of a woman on the go, too caught up in her fast-paced lifestyle to bother following others, but rather making her own style with a collection of classic lines and her own attitude. I seek to inspire this woman to believe in her identity and trust her intuitions. My desire is to design garments that will stay with her through the many faces she puts on and the many phases she may enter. This concept is the driving force behind the work that I do and the passion that continuously fuels my love for design.
